J-Cups Team — Privacy Policy

The J-Cups Team app ("the app") is an internal staff scheduling and team-communication tool provided by J-Cups Pizza ("we", "us", "the Company") to its employees and managers. This policy explains what the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected. The app is intended for use by current J-Cups staff only and is not directed to the general public or to children under 16.

Information we collect

• Account & contact details: your name, email address, and phone number, provided by you or your manager when your account is created.
• Employment & scheduling data: the locations and positions you are assigned to, your shifts, time-off requests, availability/unavailability, and attendance records.
• Messages & images: the content of chat messages and any photos you send through the app's messaging features.
• Notification tokens: a device push-notification token (via Firebase Cloud Messaging / Expo) so we can deliver shift and message notifications. We do not collect your contacts, photos library, or precise location.
• Basic technical data: information needed to operate the service securely, such as authentication tokens and device platform (iOS/Android/web).

How we use it

• To build and publish work schedules and notify you of shifts and changes.
• To let you and your coworkers communicate, request time off, and record availability.
• To send push notifications you have enabled (shifts, messages, announcements).
• To operate, secure, and support the service.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. Your information is visible to authorized J-Cups managers and owners as needed to run scheduling and operations, and to coworkers only where the app's features intend it (for example, your name on a shift, or contact details you choose to share). We share data with service providers strictly to operate the app: our hosting/database infrastructure and the push-notification services (Apple, Google/Firebase, Expo). We may disclose information where required by law.

Workplace oversight: because this is a Company tool used for work, authorized owners may, for legitimate business or legal reasons, access scheduling and message records through controlled, audited administrative review. Please use the app for appropriate work communication accordingly.

How we protect it

• All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Personal details and message contents are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM).
• Access is restricted by role (owner / manager / employee), and administrative access is logged.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to operate the service and meet the Company's legal and recordkeeping obligations. When records are no longer required, they are deleted or de-identified.

Your choices

• You can turn push notifications on or off in the app (Profile) and in your device settings.
• To access, correct, or request deletion of your information, contact your manager or use the contact below. Some records may be retained where the Company is legally required to keep them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by your manager, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
